Summary

A team of inventors from Northern Italy has developed a pump prototype that, using only the sea energy, pumps the sea water in a basin and uses it to produce electric energy. The advantages of the proposal are defined by: low cost of the plant, use of sustainable and renewable energy, absence of environmental impact and complete elimination of the CO2 emissions. They are looking for industrial or research (licensing, joint venture / commercial agreement with technical assistance).

An Italian inventor and a team of Italian engineers operating in the sector of saving conventional and alternative energy, has carried out a study for the realization of a hydraulic pump able to lift fluids without using electric or mechanical energy but the production of hydrostatic energy directly from the waves of the sea and tides. The system can produce low-cost electricity and it can eliminate the CO2 with great advantages over conventional systems. The environmental impact of the system is almost zero because below sea level, it does not cause noises and does not use polluting materials.

At the moment they have developed a pilot plant which needs to be produced on an industry scale for its sale, installallation and start up.

Innovative Aspects

This System, designed to be able to produce electricity by the waves, has no mechanical parts like gear or connecting rods or wheels and this allows a very small friction and the direct transformation of the potential energy of the waves into electricity.

Moreover, thanks to its system of accumulation, it can produce energy at time of greatest demand. In fact, the existing systems are still very expensive in relation to the performance and they have a high environmental impact.
The advantages of this system compared to conventional systems are low cost, simplicity, minimum environmental impact, the universal availability and the quantity of energy it can produce.
