Summary
Technology based company specialized in the design and manufacturing of dual-axis solar trackers has developed a wide range of solar trackers adapted to the needs of any project in two standard sizes of 219 m2 and 120 m2. This solution is applicable to all solar installations requiring dual-axis trackers, such as photovoltaics (PV), high concentrating (CPV) and solar thermal (CSP).
The company is looking for partners to reach a license agreement.
Full description
The company works with a global network of strategic partners, metalworking firms, licensees and distributors with technical expertise and ability to perform the delivery in all relevant markets, either directly or through partners.
The company has developed a wide range of solar trackers adapted to the needs of any project in two standard sizes of 219 m2 and 120 m2. This solution is applicable to all solar installations requiring dual-axis trackers, such as photovoltaics (PV), high concentrating (CPV) and solar thermal (CSP)
This technology breaks the general trend from mounted pole systems, since it is the only solar tracker which has part of its structure forward of the panel boards, and precisely thanks to this geometry provides objective advantages very relevant:
"Energy yield 45% over fixed systems (inclination 30 degrees south orientation at 40º North latitude, Spain) due to complete dual axis tracking starting from 10º
"Reliability similar to fixed systems: 3D structure, using screws, galvanized, no hydraulics in the driving
"Total independence between structure and the driving
"More rigidity, five supports, calculated for unbalanced winds loads up to 125 km/h in working position (even with the board almost vertical)
"High capacity, up to 219 square meters of max surface to place panels
"Reduced foundation, with significant savings of material in steel, concrete and labor
"Quick and easy module installation, no screws (flat-plate PV)
"Extreme accuracy better than 0.01 degrees (relevant for CPV & CSP)
"Minimum maintenance with the use of maintenance-free technical materials.
The precision of movement, better than 0.01 degrees, makes this technology a highlight for manufacturers of tracker for concentrating (CPV) and solar thermal (CSP) The extreme precision translates into higher energy yield thanks to the characteristics differential and unique design such as:
" Drive with long lever arm. The drive (azimuth) has an action arm of 10.000 mm (geared motors located in the rolling supports, moving the structure from the outside) while the concept of using an arm monopost action of only 200 mm (geared motors located in the center, moving the structure from the center)
" High structural stability. The 3D lattice-based structure has high structural rigidity with a minimum distortion. The boards are supported in a line and deformable pusher in the spindle so that the deformations are much smaller than in monopost type systems of similar size in the panel that the board only supported by the drives.
The technology is even able to maintain accuracy in high wind conditions while other followers quit working with winds up to 30-40 km / h.
The azimuth tracking is performed in a continuous movement with a single start-stop cycle every day on the drive, while other followers carry out thousands of cycles of start-stops every day, seriously compromising the reliability and system life.
Innovative Aspects
The concentrator dish allows mass production with CNC controlled machines without using handcrafted manufacturing processes and very cost-effective way.
It allows the structure of the parabolic frames are adjustable, providing a structure that can make a perfect parabola.
To bring near grid parity in the CSP technologies:
Remarkable reduction of the manufacturing, installation and maintenance costs
Improvement of the energy performance in terms of higher availability and accuracy
