Summary
The rising emission of carbon dioxide and methane change our global climate negatively. By industrial production produced pollutants strain amongst other things our soils. A German company would like to use biological biomass treatment with the objective to bind carbon with positive effects for the soil. The German company is looking for partners having such solution or are interested in joining the process development.
Full description
According to the latest findings carbon dioxide leaks by decaying of biomass 7 times more per year in the atmosphere than by combustion of all fossil fuels in the same period. A selected project is to contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide emission and improvement of the environmental data. The German company aims the treatment of biomass in the way that this can contribute to the lasting soil improvement. With projects for biomass treatment such as composting plants (with several biomasses) or/and in a farm (herbal and animal waste) the positive effects of the procedure are to be proven and for the generalisation on other areas of arable land and biomasses are to be completed technically and technologically. As positive effects for the purposes of these projects stand the drastic reduction of the carbon dioxide emission during the biomass conversion and the resulting reduction of the pollutant emissions (NOx, NH4, SO2, H2S and other gases). Carbon-rich substrates enriched with plant nutrients are generated during this process, which form the basis for increasing of soil fertility and yield increase while reducing production costs.
Up to the present barely or unused biomasses are to be engaged under keeping closed biological cycles of material. The farm land is to be used as pure carbon absorber. Different basic approaches and processes are possible and are to be considered. For development and implementation agricultural companies and research institutions are sought as project partner.
