"The ocean of tomorrow 2011" call for research proposals invites funding bids from projects proposing innovative, forward-looking and sustainable approaches to reap the great potential of our seas and oceans. 

The Government has required Yorkshire Forward to reduce substantially their expenditure and as a result the Regional Development Agency has embarked on a comprehensive project review, including how financial support is provided in the region's businesses.
 
 

A software tool has been developed using EU funds to ensure that digitally stored data can be preserved, accessed and understood for future use.  This is now available in the form of open source software.

Local companies are being offered an opportunity to visit Japan or Korea in 2011, on business missions organised by the EU Gateway Programme.

A delegation of Danish companies involved in the offshore wind industry will visit Yorkshire early next month (September 1st – 3rd) as part of a drive to make the region a multi billion pound player in offshore wind and energy generation.
